Default update on the CV boots - had both sides replaced yesterday

the one was completely destroyed (see the pic in Friday's post) the other was weak and about to go.

luckily there was no damage to the joint itself or to the axle. cv was cleaned, re-assembled, re-packed with cv grease, and new boot put on. since the other side hadn't died, just a new boot there.

so, both sides replaced for a couple hours in the shop, plus parts = $285 total + tip of 2 chicken club sandwiches brought back for the techs when I went out to lunch while they were working.

Default Not bad. Parts are $27 a side, and the labor is worth every penny of ~$120 a side...

...I mean, unless you're a super cheap fellow who also happens to be going to Italy with his girlfriend in 3 weeks, in which case, every $ (^) counts.
