Default Waterfest 2003 Report

Hit up the Waterfest this afternoon. Sorry to shtaes and JBo - I had a quick window of time open to go and just jumped in the car and went.

My first time at Englishtown and I was pretty impressed. 2 big MX tracks in the front. Small airplanes taking off and landing. While walking to the vendor section there were go-carts racing. Right near the vendor section was of course the drag racing. Plenty of stuff for any qear head.

1st stop was APR - they're right at the beginning. Tons of people there so I didn't get a chance to check out the goods. But their display looked impressive.

Then I noticed an allroad out of the corner of my eye. It was part of the SpeedsportTechnik.net display. RS4 Replicas and Porsche reds. Miltek exhaust and O.CT tuning. It looked really hot. The guys seemed cool and were very into answering my questions about the allroad. Might be an option for some of us looking to mod.

Funny conversation I heard as I approached SST's allroad. It went sorta like this:

Guy: Yo what suspension is that running? **** is dropped!
SST: Stock, it has airbags that we programed to run at that height
Guy: Holy ****! that's dope.
Guy, to his buddies: Yo, that **** has bags... stock!

Pretty funny but it has people talking about the allroad which is cool.

I made it to Audiworld's tent - bought a T shirt to represent. They had some cool looking silver plate frames.

I walked around one corner and nearly fell over. A silver RS6 sitting there at Strat's booth. The pictures really don't do it justice. I saw a ton of cameras come out for this car. Mind you there are the sickest Audi's ever lined up all over the place.

The car also snapped my neck around when I was leaving. Even with all the tuned rigs pulling out the RS6 just had an tremendous effect. Understated but still mean as hell. I really want one of these.

Strat's catalog was very allroad friendly with a lot of items that included the 2003 cars. I might be hit with the mod bug again

Couldn't resist and ended up getting a Tanoga SS kit from AWE. I was already strapped wanting the Hsport bars - I'll have to figure something out...

The AWE guys were cool. One dude gave my son and I GIAC t-shirts. BTW, Garret Lim looked real busy with ECU's all over the place.

Overall, the vibe at 2003 Waterfest was great. Prior years seemed too much stereo and chrome for my taste. This one seemed very Audi friendly and a lot more performance oriented.

Default I think there was information but...

I didn't have a chance to ask. I had my 3 yo son with me and there were a ton of people in the booth. Maybe Jbo will get some more information today.

Default When I drove into the general parking lot with the Allroad

the kid working the gate, was like.. Is this the car that goes up and down? I explained where the buttons were and how high/low she could get and that I could make changes with my laptop..

Id love to lower it with the vag.. But, Im not touching a thing until the dealership fixes the clunk coming from the front suspension..

Default I was there on Saturday afternoon...

It was a perfect day for the event--not too hot for walking around and not too crowded either. I had my two boys and wife with me and they all enjoy it. I saw your ar when I was leaving, you've parked one row in front of mine.
