Weight Limit for Latch Anchors

seems like unless otherwise specified, 40lbs is the limit for the Latch anchors. Anyone have their manual handy and can take a look for me?

I have an '02 that the dealer retrofitted with the Latch system

I think it depends more on the seat. My radians use latch and are good for up to 80 Lbs.

incorrect -- the harness on the seat is likely good for 80lbs

but there is a limit on the latch anchors. In most cases 40lbs, above that then you need to use the seatbelt to secure the seat into the car (just like you would in a non latch equipped vehicle)

Hmm.. you'd think there'd be a bazillion stickers on the latch fasteners then. Where are you

gettin the 40 pounds info?

I had the same question

I Have an 01 so I retrofited LATCH and the retro kit comes with no info. My car seat buckles are rated for 40 lbs, as are most. What SKIroad'r and I need to know is what Audi rates the LATCH anchor at? This should be in the owners manual if your AR came from the factory with LATCH.

I read through the child safety section in my 03 manual and there is no mention of a weight limit.

The radian manual states not to use latch above 48 pounds unless the vehicle manufacturer allows it. So I guess we still don't know.
