I am trying to get a reality check.

...wheels alone, I'd say anywhere from $1000-$1500 for a very good condition set of 4 wheels is a fair price. Any higher, I'd prbably say you could do better buying new (a bit over $500-$550 per wheel new, but that was a couple of years ago).
