What is the opinion on chipping a Tip car at altitude?
This weekend I may have an opportunity to get my 01 ar custom tuned for free or relatively cheaply. How do the K03's hold up at altitude spinning faster? Can the slushbox transmission hold up to the higher torque?
P.S. If you live in Colorado and want your car tuned by a pro on a dyno, drop me a email. I'm sorry for the short notice ut it would have to be this weekend. 5/12-5/14
Thanks
Brian

At this Altitude it could be cold ;-) ....but......
driving with a chipped Tip-ar through NH/VT (Summer & Winter) and other higher elevated areas the only concern was monitoring the oil temp (Mount Washington a few times). Other then that, there was no issue with the car.
If you tune it then try not to exceed 420Nm (310lb-ft). That is the maximum limit for the Stock Tranny (AT). HP isn't the issue for the tranny, lb-ft is.
Have fun!

I heard about this opportunity.
10,000 more miles and I would heavily consider it. in the mean time, the DiPP option through GIAC is still more appealing.
Now I just need to sell the old house to free up the cash to do more mods...
