What is it with the Passenger side Turbo?????
I'll try to keep my language calm and descent...
I am f.....g PISSED!!!!
The second set of Turbo's seems to head my way, they blow up on the Pocono track today, at least from what I can tell.
No Turbo Lady was singing or at last indicating any damage. Oil, Water etc pp were checked and fine.
Believe it or not, in the second run during the warm up laps, not even full on throttle or so - just like that. And the car was running 15 minutes prior to the run in the staging area, so well warmed up.
I'm still very pissed off about these midget freaken Turbos.
Oh well, there goes the weekend, dropped the ar off at KMD..thanks to AAA ;-)
And Watkins Glen (planned for Mo+Tue) has been cancelled and credited towards the rest of the season. Thanks PDA for doing this.
So.....now what? Another Big job over 10K, but at this time not covered by Audi with 75%?
Or can anyone sell some cheap Garrett Turbos to me? For I will not go for K03's again. Stay away from them if you can!!

Passenger side Turbo - SMOKED, GONE, DEAD, TOASTED....again!
My apologies if it doesn't make sense at first....just the initial frustration written off my mind.... :-(

Yep, time to relief some frustration, going to turn on the sirene and do a 130 on 287 ;-)
Just kidding ;-) Wont drive tonight anymore.
I feel better already now, after the second Cognac....and finding out that the RS4 K04's are only $2100.00 + RS4 Oil cooler $900.00 ;-)
We'll see what Danny has to say on Monday.

you need inlet pipes for ko4s also, around $500 right now iirc.
good luck getting k04s, they are in very short supply and price is going up daily.(don't waste time/drag feet)

Grey , very strong smoke from the exhaust, 50% of the oil is gone and...
by hauling the car on the tow truck the oil came running out of the right side exhaust. I kept it running while the guy setup the hooks and pulled it on the truck for just that reason, to observe.
Symptoms: immidiate power loss and BIG Smoke clouds.
No unusual engine noise, engine starts and runs w/o trouble. Its not the engine, I drove it a few hundred yards into KMD's parking lot.
Good thing about it....no Catalytic converter damage, because there aren't any ;-)

Thanks Paul, this will happen if we can't find any better Turbos.
and the price is very right for a rebuild, I'll call them on Monday to get more details.
Maybe they have some refurbished K04 or Garret's for sale.
