Default What would you guys do?

I own my '02 allroad and owe about $13k on it. I'm considering two courses of action: First, sell the allroad and lease a new S4 avant. Second, keep the allroad for at least 3 more years and buy or lease an 02 Carrera Cabriolet. The monthly payments are close (especially if I lease the Cab). However, the second option comes with two potential pitfalls: I don't have a three car garage. My wife has already agreed to leave her car outside (but what about snowstorms?). Also, the inevitable repairs on either car. While they will both be under extended warranties, not everything is covered ie., clutch, timing belt replacement, tires, etc.

By the way, I love the allroad and if I didn't have the attention span of a gnat I could easily drive it alone for many years to come. Forget mods - I'm too skittish for that.

Any thoughts?

Thank the wife (that's why we love them!), keep the allroad, get the Carrera! There's always temporary heated storage facilities for the Porsche when the storm's are coming and the wife needs the garage.

Gotta say, have friends with 911s, and they are VERY reliable if you get a good one. Do it.

I agree... it's an unfortunate thing.

Default You won't be sorry with the Carrera

I'm new to this board and I am getting an '05
Allroad tomorrow. It is CPO with only 9000 miles. I think it is going to be a great car. I also have a 97 Carrera Cab and I love it. They are a lot of fun to drive and I have had very few problems with mine. I'm glad I found this forum, and I look forward to having everyone answer some really dumb questions for me.

Should it not be phrased...Carrera Porsche...."There is no substitute"..to quote the famous tagline.
