What's the best recipe for 6-speed launch?
I can't seem to get a good launch without getting putrid clutch smells. I mastered the art of the launch in my 225TTR, but the allroad has eluded me thus far.

Clears throat...
Quite simple actually.. Sit at the staging light. bring the revs up slowly from 2K-3K, when you see the lights start changing bring the revs slowly up to 3.5/4K and launch, You want to be leaving the line as your R's are coming up. You are then going to let the clutch out slowly at the same time your throttle is going to thr floor.
What most people do is bury the throttle before the clutch has had time to bite. I always feel the car launching before I nail it.
In all honesty, besides the 4.11 final gearing the allroad launches almost identical to my S4 and I have run 1.79 60ft with it..
Don't side step the clutch and don't burry the throttle before you feel the car moving.

I asked this question a while back...
after being 'schooled' at the Quattro Challenge at Nazareth Speedway by Garfield, a board lurker and infrequent poster.
I got a couple of responses including Garfield recipe. Hit link.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/allroad/msgs/22005.phtml">clickitty</a></li></ul>
