Default What's old is new again. Back to RS6 Reps....

Paint was flaking off the BBS wheels, so had to remove to take them back to Wheels America to be re-refinished (is that a word?) To their credit, they are honoring their lifetime finish warranty and will strip and re-pwdercoat the wheels.
In the meantime, I needed another set of wheels so got a set of RS6 Reps again. Trying the ones that Discount Tire imports for a great price.
18x8.5 et30. Pic is with my 20mm spacers which are just too wide. No rubbing but it's tight. Loved the light weight of the BBS wheels, but still love the look of the RS6 on the allroad.

(That's my 92,000 mile E39 528 in the garage. Great daily driver and gets 10 mpg better than the allroad ever did.)

Default Love those wheels. I was looking into some replicas from discount tire

for the A4. So you are happy with the quality of the wheels from discount tire?

Default Seem to be fine. Shape and finish look good. Time will tell on strength. If

they hold up on my heavy allroad, they should be fine for an A4. Never had a problem with the strength of the Hartmann reps and would have gotten another set, but I needed wheels fast and thought I'd see how good they are considering they were 40% the cost of a Hartmann. But there has to be a difference in how they are manufactured to offset that difference.

Default Yea, those are the BBS's that I was cleaning up. What you don't see is...

the pair of 16x9 Fuchs forged allows in the back of the BMW. 17 lbs per wheel!

Default thanks for the info. I agree that the Hartmann are probably very nice, I just

can justify the cost and I know you get what you pay for however the A4 is a daily driver and not a track car.... the 911 fills that role.

Default My thinking too, especially....

the 911 aspect. I'm already accumulating an expensive pile of parts for the 86 Carrera and don't even have the car here yet.

Can you shoot me an email? Couple 911 questions, and I can fill you in on the DT wheels too. Know anyone with a pair of 951 offset 16x8 Fuchs? Have my 16x9 from my old car and need a pair of 8's for the front. 23/31 hollow torsion bars, Charlie Bars, 1 5/8 headers already collecting dust in the garage. Will send the Bilstein Sports out to Bilstein Motorsport to be revalved. Where do you run the car?

Default The said they've had problems with the color silver I chose back then...

that didn't adhere well. When I dropped the wheels, there were no questions at all. Just going to strip and refinish no charge.
