Will A6 winter mats fit my 2004 Allroad?
I thought the Allroad is almost identical to the A6, and therefore assumed that the winter mats would be 100% interchangeable.
The dealer parts guy - a clown - told me that, beause they are different part numbers, they are incompatible. How can I argue with that logic? He claims that the Allroad is nothing like the A6, and is "longer inside". Is he counting the wagon, or something?
Anyway, I wanted beige mats to match my interior, and the only Allroad mat available is black. Can I use the beige A6 winter mat?

Re: Yes, you can, ...
Thank you.
Have you seen both? Are the Allroad mats a lot nicer, or would I be plenty happy with the A6 mats? I'd like to be able to see the things, and place them in my car to see how they look. Maybe black wouldn't be bad, but it's hard to say without seeing them.
So...how similar are the A6 and Allroad? My girlfriend's mother bought the A6 at the same time that I bought my Allroad and the interiors seem to be identical to me.

Not to mention, different colors will have different part numbers!
Which obviously has nothing to do with compatibility.
I wasn't going to argue with the guy. It started off on the wrong foot when his response to my "Good morning" was "What's so good about it?"

many (me included) use clairparts.com- good prices-fast service...
People call the rubber mats "winter" but I use them year round. The rear liner is great- see my picture poster if you want to see it. It can really save your carpet in the back. A major complaint I have about audi is that they don't seem to stock many parts. My 4.2 has a TSB which will require replacing the intake manifold gasket. I was scheduled for the dash wire recall and I thought to ask if they had a minifold gasket in stock? Of course not- I rescheduled the appointment (tomorrow) and called friday to confirm if they had a gasket. SOP seems to be schedule for diagnosis, order part and reschedule for install. They should give you a car to use and I would keep it while they had the part delivered- haven't they heard of Fed-Ex?
