Will S4 Intercoolers work on the AR? Would it require any modification

Stock S4 and the Stock Allroad IC's are the same. The aftermarket S4 IC's
will bolt up with little or no modifications depending on which ones you go with and how you mount them.

What intercoolers are you looking at? If they are stock S4 then there is nothing to gain
from them since they are the same as the stock allroads. Unless of course you are replacing a damaged one.

Nothing damaged, just was wondering what the upgrade would be-guess
that would be the RS4 IC's and not the S4's? I saw a couple S4 stock IC's in the classifieds and didn't know if they were a viable upgrade to stock AR IC's.

The stock S4 IC's would not be an upgrade only a replacement. RS4, AWE, IPP and a few
more all make IC upgrades for the S4 that would also work in the Allroad and A6's with the 2.7T. There is usally a small amount of trimming or modification that needs to be done to make them fit nicely.
I do not know how much an upgrade would help unless you are chipped or stage 3 with larger than stock turbos.

Here's a shot of RS4 ic's on my ar...
