Windshield distortion???

Windshield distortion???

Hello All,

Just wondering if anyone has seen a vertical pattern of distortion on your front windshield. University Audi in Seattle has brought in 3 replacements for me and they all exhibit the same distortion, in some cases even worse. It's been frustrating to say the least. I ran into an A6 owner that has had his windshield replaced 6 times and it's no better than what I have on my allroad. Oh well, we'll keep trying until a good one shows up through parts.

I have slight distortion but only notice it when I'm taking a slow, 90 degree right-hand turn, such as into the narrow opening of our parking garage at work each morning. With mine I don't find it to be enough of a problem to ask for a replacement.

Likewise,

There is distortion looking out the passenger side of the windshield, but slight enough that I don't think I will have it replaced - particularly since it doesn't seem to do any good to put a new one in!

This was an issue with the S4 a while back too.

All of the people who took them back to the dealership had them replaced with no hassles. Sorry to hear they still can't get it right! :-(

I too see the distortion but will now not worry about it. It drove me crazy mostly thinking it was just my car. Now that I know many others have the same problem, maybe within a year or so they will develop a winshield without the distortion. I'm going to forget about it until next year.
