Default Do you want to play hardball?

You don't have to take his no. Just find out who his insurace co is and file a claim.. or do one of the suggestions from below...

Did you speak personally with the owner?

Spoke to the GM. He said he talked the situation over with the owner and they offfered 50%. Not sure how to find out who his insurance co is.

They are telling me that rocks are an uncontrollable occurrance and they are not responsible for natural occurrances, like if a hail storm damaged the car while thay had.

I'm not sure if a lawyer is the awy to go. They would probably charge me more than the 50%.

AoA says they can't force the dealer to do anything. My regular dealer is stunned they are acting like this.

I'm not sure what happened here, but it sounds like your car was damaged while at the dealer for
service. If so, the dealer is responsible for the
damage, PERIOD, while in its care, custody and
control. If they don't want to make good for it,
contact DMV and ask for the dealer's insurance
information. If that doesn't work, go to small claims court with it.

That's BO-OH-OH-GUS!!! Not "act of God" if they caused rock to kick up on their own lot.

Default Clarification

I'm guessing a rock hit the windshield while they were doing a test drive for the new tranny I had installed.

if that's the case, it's their insurance or even the driver's insurance, not yours

Contact your own insurance company... Brief them of the situation and proceed as they suggest...

The dealer is playing Mr Tough Guy, merely a ploy and a bluff.
