Yak Rack Flack
So, I've got a Yakima rack setup with one of the new, plastic fairings. As far as I can tell, everything's installed correctly.
Today, I'm cruising down the interstate at a little over 80 and there's a strong cross wind. The car is as stable as a rock, but every now and then, in a gust, the fairing chatters, making an intermittent clicking noise. It must have been flexing enough to hit the roof.
Has anyone else had this problem? What do you do? Ignore it and swear a lot?

Haven't had that problem, but there are rubber feet for the fairing...
And, I have squares of clearbra on the roof where those rubber feet are intended to sit. The result is, complete silence... so I don't actually know if the fairing is lifting. When moving forward however, it would take an *incredibly* strong cross wind to lift the fairing, against the force of oncomming wind...
Something else must be wrong.

As far as I can tell...
...it's the (upwind, cross-wind-wise) end of the fairing that's flexing -- the rubber feet are in place and the whole thing's pretty well pre-loaded down onto the roof. And it was, as I said, pretty windy yesterday.
Maybe I can adjust the pre-loading on the two inside feet relative to the two outside ones and change the flexing. If that doesn't work, perhaps two more brackets on the very outsides of the fairing would do it (I suppose that Yakima would be delighted to sell me those...).
This doesn't happen all the time, or anything, just at speed in strong cross-winds.
