I have the exact same car, but mine was reserved on 9/17, locked on 12/30, but only in production on 4/16! Consider yourself lucky! My dealer says it shows "factory completion" on 5/17! That's exactly one month in production. I can only assume it's battery delays. No car should take a month to produce!!!

Dealer confirmed my First Edition ordered on 9/15 as well is at the Port of San Diego. i’m Told it has been assigned a “truck load” date of 5/10 to head east to Phoenix. Dealer rep believes it will show up sooner based on some inside info. Stay tuned!

Default Less than candid

It is disappointing that Audi has not been candid with us regarding the reservation/manufacturing/delivery timeline.

I believe Audi has been very upfront. I believe the site said to expect car 5 to 7 months after configuration lock. If it comes sooner, as mine is then great.

I reserved 9/18, entered production 4/3, show factory complete 5/7 - also a month in production. But my dealer told me 5/7 back on 3/23 - I don't know whether it's battery delays, or engine delays, or that it takes a month to get exactly the right shade of Antigua Blue, but whatever the issue is, they knew about it in March.

It's frustrating to watch the cars that enter production after mine and complete in a few days, but I can't complain (too much), because they're doing what they told me in March. Mine is a Premium Plus, it's interesting to see Prestige cars that are also spending a month in production.

Since no one has taken delivery in the US, who knows what "complete" means - I wouldn't worry about the website status - seems that it is all over the place.

I have to respectfully disagree with you. In this instance, to me candor is synonymous with transparency. I would find it informative to know why it can take a month or more for an e-tron to be "in production" and why it can take a month for the vehicle to leave the factory. But then, I am curious by nature.

1. availability of components for your specific requested configuration
2. shipping schedules

It would be nice to be told with some specificity and detail. Not asking too much as I am sure such information is readily available to Audi.

That is really on your dealer to provide...and what separates a good dealer, from the usual
