E-tron order status change

I have the exact same car, but mine was reserved on 9/17, locked on 12/30, but only in production on 4/16! Consider yourself lucky! My dealer says it shows "factory completion" on 5/17! That's exactly one month in production. I can only assume it's battery delays. No car should take a month to produce!!!

I reserved on September 15, configuration locked on December 30, in-production on March 1, leaving factory March 5 and en-route on March 20. The vessel that it is on is currently docked at the Port of San Diego. It should reach the Port of Benicia on Wednesday or Thursday. I assume it will sit there until whenever Audi decides to release them to the dealers.
Current-
2016 A8 L 3.0 Oolong Gray (ready to turn in)
2018 S5 Cab. Prestige, Gotland Green
Past-
2016 S5 Cab Premium Plus
2014 A7 TDI Prestige
2013 S5 Cab Prestige
2012 A7 3.0t Prestige
2010 S5 Cab Prestige
2009 A6 Prestige
2007 A4 Cab
2008 A4 Cab

I believe Audi has been very upfront. I believe the site said to expect car 5 to 7 months after configuration lock. If it comes sooner, as mine is then great.

It's frustrating to watch the cars that enter production after mine and complete in a few days, but I can't complain (too much), because they're doing what they told me in March. Mine is a Premium Plus, it's interesting to see Prestige cars that are also spending a month in production.

Since no one has taken delivery in the US, who knows what "complete" means - I wouldn't worry about the website status - seems that it is all over the place.

I have to respectfully disagree with you. In this instance, to me candor is synonymous with transparency. I would find it informative to know why it can take a month or more for an e-tron to be "in production" and why it can take a month for the vehicle to leave the factory. But then, I am curious by nature.
