2024 Q8 e-tron brake pulsation
The solution in my case was to have both front rotors replaced at a cost of $2,800. Brakes being wear items warranty was not an option. I suspect somehow the rotors warped or, impossible to prove at 11k miles, had a defect from factory. My braking has remained smooth since the replacement though.
It's just a known problem, stemming from either poor parts or, let's give them the benefit of the doubt, from an unavoidable compromise, since not everyone drives the same. Given the option, of course they'll ding you for a few grand, it's how society works these days. I for one would spend any amount of money to not pay people who lie to my face. One can take the car to a brake shop, have them clean the rotors and done. The rotors themselves don't warp. If they did, given how little work they do with the EM braking, then the entire system should be deemed unfit and unsafe.
