A/C Error?

A/C Error?

I have the following error message in the MMI "The auxiliary air conditioning is currently unavailable due to a malfunction"

AC button on the touch screen is no longer responsive

Checked refrigerant levels with 2 different gauges, both showed the levels were beyond the recommended max, in the red zone as if the systems was overfilled.

Anyone had this error before?

Its 100' in Austin, no AC is an issue

should add on the plus side - consistently getting 240 miles range on a single charge with no AC running

Did you just have it serviced? If not, it’s odd that it would just suddenly indicate being overcharged

nope, just 3 months of ownership from new so no service so far.

agreed I thought it was odd to show overcharged.... makes me think its a more significant issue than just refrigerant levels

Ac error

I have just experienced the same issue. Ac won’t come on with same error message

Dealer advised - leak which has drained the system + AC pressure sensor failure so can't re-charge the system as a temp fix - part needed from Germany, 2-3 weeks

Total bummer. Did they give you your car back or a loaner?
