The first of anything (charging station, vehicle to home) an electrician installs will cost more than the 100th. For the first one, the electrician needs (had better!) to study the code and make sure the install is done right. You pay for this. Has to consider that he might have to go redo it due to something that wasn't right the first time. The hundredth one he could do correctly in his sleep. Will be done faster as well.
