myAudi App Continuously Fails to Respond
So far the dealer is saying he's able to connect, but could still be a server problem and to wait some more. I called tech support, they had me reinstall the app, and verify the LTE was working and connected. They had me do a soft reboot of the MMI. I also took photos of the error msg, LTE signal, etc. So far, I've not heard back from tech support, and I'm still unable to connect.
When it was working, it would take up to a minute or more to connect and update, which was very slow,. Connecting the car to my wifi network did not speed it up, it doesn't appear to use the wifi connection. Maybe there's a faulty component or something, who knows. Frustrating experience. The car is great, the app sucks.
This occurrence is up to a week long. I’ve got an appointment scheduled tomorrow to have them look at it again.
Does anyone else run into this issue quite often?
I’ve had this numerous times and while most are related to the servers, twice now they have been related to the communication module.
The first time I waited for nearly 2 months for a new communication module to come from Germany (I’m in Canada). The second time the dealership had to do a hard reset on the module.
The key is to look at the top right of the MMI for “LTE”. Mine was stuck in 3G and was therefore, not able to communicate.

yes that’s correct. It’s easy to diagnose- look on your dash - also look to see if the emergency contact button is red. Mine stayed green but I understand sometimes it can be red.
