A week after getting the software update for the backup camera, I went to back into to a parking spot at work and the backup camera didn't come on. There was flicker on the screen when I put it into reverse, then it went right back to what it was displaying before, Android Auto. I did remember the trick of putting it into neutral then back into reverse, and that worked. Unfortunately, it's not a surprise Audi didn't fix it.

I've never had any issues with my backup camera in my 24 Q8. If it ain't broke, don't fix it? I wondering if I should even bother getting the update done. I assume I could always do it in the future if I run into a problem.

Yesterday, the backup camera didn't come up when I reversed. This time, putting it into neutral then back into reverse didn't bring up the camera either, nor did pressing the camera button. At least the parking sensors still worked with just beeps. The only way I got the cameras to work again was to power down and back up. This is worse than before the update.
