You do not really want to take the caliper out. If you do, you have to bleed the brakes as you opened the system. As you can see from the pictures, you cover everything up that you do not want painted and then paint it while on the car. I did this on my old (as in from the previous millennium) car which is much lighter and thus easier to work on than the E-tron.

They are still an available option spec, but it seems only about a quarter of the cars ordered by dealers have this option. Glad you love your car!

Stunning.

We paid the shop that did our Xpel Stealth install about $800 to do the wife’s brake calipers.

I don’t know what it is about your top pic, but that stance looks absolutely perfect. I always put mine in Dynamic to get the lowest stance possible but I’m not sure it ever looks that low.

orys and Papavatsky: Thank you for the compliments.

I think the "Stance" on the top pic is a bit of an illusion given that the shadow seems soft and diffuse under the car which makes it look lower to the ground than it actually is.

The winter wheels are Hartmann RS7 replicas which are rated for the e-tron's weight.

I have resisted the urge to throw some summer rubber band tires on this car given that it's heavy and I occasionally find myself hammering on Forest Service roads in the summer for mountain biking and driving in deep snow in the winter. Hence, 20" for both seasons.

Default Orange break calipers

I’m also interested in painting same color of brake calipers as the edition one calipers. I am communicating with a shop in Santa Ana (West Coast Calipers). Let me know if you’re still interested and if we can negotiate a multiple vehicle deal.

I was initially quoted $600 for a last minute reservation cancellation, regular price is $800. I was concerned if it would be an issue at lease return but seems like no one had an issue with that in Audi. Now I’m willing to have the job done and hope to negotiate a bit more.
