users configurations?
Ugh...was well on my way to getting things set the way I like it. Fumbling around with it over lunch and noticed it was set to Guest.
Selected something....the seat moved, the steering wheel moved, my nav favorites went away, it started alerting every time I get above 20mph again.... probably lost my radio favorites, etc....
just ugh.
Is it me or are the menus all kind of fragmented and not completely logical?
It's looking to me as if once I finally do get my configuration set correctly, in order to set another one for my wife she would have to dig through the menu to select user, then dig deeper to select her profile. Hopefully it's all tied to the driver select 1 and 2 buttons in the door. She'll do that. Otherwise she would never.....she'd just start adjusting mirrors and resetting everything.
Guess I'll have to find a couple hours to sit down with the manual....

As far as I know, the buttons on the doors do not affect all the settings in the car. I think they only affect the seat and maybe the mirror on that side.
It is the keyfob that controls the user settings. The car can tell which of the two keys you are using and uses that to select which user's settings to apply. For instance, my key chooses my settings, and when my wife drives the car, her key changes the settings to match her profile.

When you first open the door (before turning the car on), you can select which profile you want on the virtual cockpit screen using the steering wheel controls. The keys will remember which profile was used last, so as long as you and your wife use separate keys the car will automatically change profiles for you.
