Windshield replacement
I managed to crack my windshield which will require a replacement on my e-tron sportback 2021. The etron is leased and wanted to know if Audi requires the replacement windshield to be a specific Audi OEM part with badge/logo? I leased an X5 years ago and BMW required the OEM part with logo. I want to make sure I don't have any problems when I return the vehicle at lease end. Audi customer care refers me back to dealer.

Mine is also leased and I had Safelite replace the windshield with OEM Audi glass as it was the only type available; plus I would have insisted on it due to the HUD, etc.
Safelite did a fantastic job and it was over $1,000 cheaper than having the ‘dealer’ do it. BTW: dealerships almost always farm these windshield replacements out and never do them themselves.

I had Safelite replace my windshield and they used an Audi part. They also provided a voucher for calibration at the Audi dealer. Was a bit taken back by the ~$800 charge to my insurance for the calibration but that's one of the nice things about zero deductible coverage.

I have had my windshield replaced 3 different times (3 different cars) each time it was a comprehensive claim made threw my insurance. $500 bucks.
with Audi I took the car in to the dealership. Told them I wanted a Audi part not a off brand. They called insurance and finished the job. Got a loaner for the week. And paid when I picked up my car when it was done. Easy.
they do use a 3rd party to sun the work to. Safelite is who they used.
