Join the Cause for diesel!!!!
Last week, Audi launched the TDI clean diesel with the introduction of the “Di*sel it’s no longer a dirty word” campaign (TDI launch elements and facts can be found at audiusa.com). The campaign focuses on this technology’s truths and emphasizes that Americans can reduce their carbon emissions and consumption of foreign oil through solutions like Audi TDI clean diesel.
Audi has launched a social media campaign to build awareness of TDI and this greater social issue of reducing America’s dependency on foreign oil. Audi is demonstrating its commitment to reduced CO2 emissions through a partnership with the Nature Conservancy where Audi will donate $1 for each person who joins the cause on facebook. Last week during the initial launch of the campaign, over 7,000 individuals joined the Audi/Nature Conservancy facebook cause, but we are still far short of our donation goal of 25,000 cause participants. We encourage you to participate as well:
- visit facebook.com/audi to join the TDI cause and help us make a difference
- learn more about how diesel is no longer a dirty word at audiusa.com and “Join the TDI movement”
- here
By joining the cause, you too can make a difference and become part of the solution. Invite your friends, family and agency partners to help spread the word.

diesel quattro please
i agree lets get the A4 with the 3.0 V6 TDI. i have zero interest in SUVs and FWD diesels. others make those. There are no AWD diesel cars and i don't want to buy a 3 series diesel. come on Audi lets get a new segment going "Quattro Diesel CARS".

I really don't understand why you want it in the States, fuel is still relatively cheap over there, and the savings are only really made for those doing lots of miles and then in the smaller 4 cyl FWD cars.
I have a 3.2 fsi Quattro and I average 25mpg in it, I can see 34mpg on a run, in the 3.0tdi by the time you add quattro I am only seeing an average of around 29mpg doing the same miles, and 38mpg on a run.
(MPGs are UK btw).
The diesel is slower, noiser, less refined, heavier up front (which is the last thing an Audi needs hekp with!!) and there is no rev range so no where near as fun to drive.
Now, compare the 2.0T with the 2.0TDI both in FWD and manual and you start to see 25mpg vs 40mpg and it makes more sense.

Diesel fuel is cheaper than premium in Silicon Valley
The cheaper fuel, better gas mileage and instant torque are reasons to consider 3.0TDI, with AWD and auto A4. Should be great for in town and fine for the freeway.
