Default 3b flywhhel verses AAN fly wheel?

What do I need to know?

Are the stack heights different?

machining cost on the 3b vs the AAN DMFW?

Clutch availability for RS2 applications?

Thanks

You would be wanting a 7A FW as it has the provision for the pilot bearing and the pilot bearing goes in the crank on the 3B(not sure if you can just put the PB in the crank and have it work?). For the 7A FW you would need an upgraded 7A clutch setup I suggest southbend. As far as the stacked height is concerned yes they are different thus the reason for the 7A clutch/pp. The 3B/MC2 FW is the lightest of all the factory I5 FW's. You can have a 7A lighted/balanced by removing material from the rear of the FW.

you can use a 3B flywheel (and I recommend it over 7A because its lighter). You will need a pilot bearing adapter. 034 makes em.

That's what I thought but couldn't find the adapter on the 034 site.

3b flywheel is not recommended. Stack height and spline height differences, for starters. Coupled with the lack of pilot bearing provisions. If you're in a pinch you can run it, but it's not really ideal.

There's plenty of lighter aftermarket flywheels with all the proper dimensions.
