7A cam pros and cons

7A cam pros and cons
hey everyone
I'm getting ready to do my S6's timing belt, water pump, Samcos, etc etc, and I wanted to get some feedback on the 7A cam
I'm chipping the car with one of Mihnea's chipsets, but other than that it's currently stock.
Is it true that it causes a boost leak through the exhaust valve? wouldn't this cause LESS power?
My mechanic's thought is that since it's on the exhaust cam, no additional fuel will be used from the mod. It'll allow more gasses to pass through the engine at WOT, and therefore spool up the turbo faster than the stock cam would allow.
First,
Would I see a power benefit from the 7A cam with this setup? How much are we really looking at?
Second,
Will I see a reduction in my gas mileage? I drive a ton for work and personal reasons, and really don't want to see my mileage go down. Gas is getting fricking expensive! Any BTDT's want to comment?
Third,
I might be moving to a state that actually has emission laws (Indiana doesn't). Are they going to flunk me? I'd like to get a different exhaust with a more free-flowing cat, so once again any BTDT's are totally appreciated.
I know it's a lot of questions to toss out there!
TIA
-James

My admittedly unscientific experience showed.....
..no noticable power increase, a slight reduction in boost threshold (200 RPM or so), and a noticable drop in gas mileage.
If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't.
