Most of us are running in threaded mode. That is the best way to keep the responses to a post attached to that post. Otherwise, the responses seem to pop up randomly.

You can change your preferences to Threaded or Hybrid (whatever that is)

I would beg to differ. I'm betting most are not running in threaded mode, and the post here are perfectly pleasureable to follow when viewing in linear mode.

Let each user determine which method works best for them. This is not a threaded mode forum exclusivly, nor is is the responsibilty of any user to conform to any view mode.
