Default Any ideas on how to get 4 doors from Philly to Boston?
I'm trying to get 4 doors from Philly to Boston. I don't have a truck (but can probably borrow one). The person with the doors doesn't want to ship them (and I don't blame him). Anyone have any ideas for getting them here? I'm going to drive down and get them if I can't figure something else out but i'd like to avoid that if I could. Any type of shippers (like an auto transport company) that will go to the doors and pick them up? I have an ad asking if anyone is travelling that way and could pick them up but haven't had a response and I don't want to hold this guy up.

Default Drive down in the car that will be receiving the doors and put them on down there...

Default ROAD TRIP!
If he doesn't mind wrapping them up, and putting them on a pallet, a freight company will pick them up. Greyhound could also deliver them.

Not half bad but then what to do with the old doors? Plus I need to swap innards...

I understand. He's giving them to me and palleting them is a PIA. I need to find a truck and make the 10hr drive if I can't find someone.

Rent a truck or cube van. Around here you can get them for $19.95 a day (plus taxes)

Default Then buy the doors locally. You do know that 100/S4/A6/S6 doors are identical in structure, right?
There has to be a black 100 in a salvage yard near you somewhere that has 4 good doors. Just swap over your current mid trim and you'd be all set.
