In cruise on the highway, roll-on slighty to pass and get CEL and boost limited
I pulled the codes and got an adaptation fault and a 540 G66 Knock Sensor intermittent. I assume the CEL is from the knock sensor as I have had the fuel adaptation fault before. Fault went away on rekey. Anyone else ever have this? Thanks.

Sounds like a faulty knock sensor to me
Different car/engine, but my 4ktq did the same thing after I chipped it. Barely hit boost = CEL.
Codes revealed the knock sensor was the culprit.

I'm dealing with the same issue....
starts detonating at 5-7psi boost, right? I get the same code, for the 1-2-3cyl knock sensor. Problem is, the sensor was replaced last year. Let me know if you end up replacing the sensor and if that fixes it.

My issue is not all of the time and I can't feel hear any detonation
It has happened twice now and only when driving home from work in the afternoon. It goes away on a key cycle. Will still pull 22psi when driving hard, and the code seems to set when just cruising on the highway. I will keep an eye on it. Can the VAG-Com monitor knock sensor output?
