Default Current part # for 1.8T conversion coil

What is the most current/best part number for the 1.8T coils to convert from stock S6 setup using 034 harness? checking online, I have seen 06B 905 115L, 115R and I think even a 115E. Recommended source?

Thanks,

Jay

115S. 115R's are still unreliable - I've had 3 failures in a year.

Default 3 failures in a year??? Should I even bother or...

skip the 1.8T/update harness and go with the 034 High Output package? That is "supposed" to be bulletproof.

Default Yeah, but if it costs as much as stock, why not just go with stock?

Unless it's as a comprehensive part of a big turbo build...

My car is a DD with limited track aspirations and nothing more...

My sources say that the 115R's are still the latest. Where are we getting the S's from?

Default 115S's are from the B6 S4(V8). They were initially much higher priced than the 115R's

but have since come down significantly in price. Since the price is almost the same, there is absolutely no point in going with the 115R's, if you're doing the conversion. OEM has been and continues to be a more expensive option. OEM will probably last another 150-170k miles. Problem is, I don't think the rest of the car will.
