DaveF. what gauge wire should I be looking @ for the coilpack harness?

Can you source teflon coated wire from the aircraft industry? The issue is a compromise between...
wire gauge (the thicker the wire, the less resistance) and the thickness of the harness (the thinner the better). 14 is normally too thick (insulation) 20 is too thin (wire size). This leaves 16 or 18. But 16 with teflon (thinner insulation) coating would be perfect.
You should consider ordering blank pins from Eagleday rather than the pins and pigtails that the dealer (or Kris) can provide.

Thanks. Today I'm getting the Volvo plugs, going to electronics supply places for the pins
and also I'm gonna look to snag Jetta OxySensor plugs from the wreckers. I'll dismantle those connector pins so that I can replace the wire.
I want to build wire lengths that are one continual length (as per your musings from an ealier thread)
I'll look into the teflon wire, however it might be cost prohibitive.
Otherwise I'll probably settle for 18awg
