The brake light not only comes on with the parking brake, but it also is an indicator for low brake fluid and low power steering fluid.

Check your power steering fluid. Classic symptoms of a low Pentosin (power steering fluid,) level.

also could be that the shaft for the spring loaded sensor in your PS fluid reservoir is broke so every time the fluid moves it triggers the light

Also if the fluid level and the level sensor check out it could be a bad bomb.

Weird. My SVX would do this when it got cold out; it was the rubber cap inside the cap of the brake fluid resevoir getting stiff enough not to move correctly. Nice to know that they share a few similar symptoms of the same thing. Since getting my car last Saturday, I've:

1. Spent 10 minutes looking for the gas cap release

2. Could not find the battery

3. Thought my tailgate was broken because I locked it

4. Spent 20 minutes trying to figure out where the fader was

So far I've been pretty confused. :P

My 2006 audi is doing it now, it the red indicator light flashes on like 5 times and then turns off, mostly on downhill i noticed, did it to me about 5 times today. This doesn't have any relation to the actual brakes though right? I do need to change my breaks...
