Default fuel line recall (dave f. !!!)

I am assuming my car hasnt had the fuel line recall done because on the drivers side there are 4 lines by the heatshield and not 3. and i have braided fuel lines on that side as well. but i was reading this link and it says the recall was done on the fuel filter line. and it says it takes 7 hours?? maybe mine was already done? how do you tell? ive attached a pic of the fuel pump lines, maybe u guys can tell me what i should do

*** yes i searched the forum, yes i know i just asked about this and skolnick said to go to the dealer, my problem with that is my dealer once told me my 5000's radiator was leaking, when it was only the 20 dollar expansion tank, i dont like them one bit. and honestly dont want them touching my S4.

http://www.s-cars.org/postnuke/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=arti cle&sid=153</a

Why don't you just have the dealer look up VIN. They will have a history of the recals

Default oh great thank you. i guess its my only choice to go there and have it done i know but...

If it takes 7 hours and they have to dismantle the steering rack and whatnot... just sucks i think, everyone knows i worry about my car and i know i should but i still dont want to have to have them rip apart my brand new front end :P

Thanks for the help ill be given them a call tomorrow

Most likely they won't do the recall... It expired after 10 years... thats what Carousel told me!

Default Bad photo. I think I can see braided line by the fuel filter = no "KY" recall. I would go to the..

dealer. They are the only ones who can/will to the retrofit "legally" (and at no cost to you). I don't think there is any 10 year rule. In any event, the recall only started in 1998 or 1999. Go to the NHTSA website or just google on Audi recalls and look for the KY recall. I have posted links to this before as well.

Default BS! Audi sent me a letter saying mine needed to be done

I had 2 dealers willing to do it and I'm gonna have it done once I finish my motor work. Safety recalls dont expire.

Default Well see I was upset when I heard that... especially with a safety recall. They are willing to

compromise someones safety to safe some coin. how stupid.
