Fuel Pressure Gauge and Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator Install
Well first off thanks to both Mark Stragways and Jerry Scott for suggesting that do the gauge install on the fuel rail. I originally planned on installing the Gauge on the end of a modified banjo bolt off the fuel filter where I would drill and tap the end then thread in a 1/8" NPT to -3AN 90° in to some fuel hose up to the gauge. No dice..drilling in to the end of the bolt proved to be a ROYAL PITA. So that was aborted.
This AM my brother (Thx Bro!) and I took Jerry Scotts instructions.
<b>How To:</b>
-1) Remove fuel rail and injectors make sure to leave car over night so pressure is 0 and engine is cool..unless you like fuel spraying everywhere and fire.

-2) Drilled in a 21/64" or 11/32" hole in the fuel rail and tapped w/ a 1/8-27 NPT tap. Then screwed in a 1/8" 90° elbow (teflon tape used). Blow out w/ high pressure any metal shavings from rail

-3) Screwed in Fuel gauge from B&M Racing with a wrap of teflon tape and mounted injectors
<img src="http://www.worldsbeer.com/urs4/fpr/P1010140.JPG">
-4) Put fuel rail back in to intake and screwed everything back together with the stock 4 BAR FPR to get a baseline of fuel pressure.
<img src="http://www.worldsbeer.com/urs4/fpr/P1010141.JPG">
-5) OEM FPR showed 58 PSI so we are good. Gently release pressure spraying fuel all over the place but with rag over the banjo on the fuel rail to catch it. Note engine is cold. Now mount the Eurospec Adjustable FPR that I sourced from Javad at 034efi.com.
<img src="http://www.worldsbeer.com/urs4/fpr/P1010143.JPG">
-6) Installed FPR and adjusted to 58 PSI
-7) Used 1.5" Hole cutter to modify fuel rail cover then finished up w/ Dremel tool
<img src="http://www.worldsbeer.com/urs4/fpr/P1010144.JPG">
Thats it..thx to everyone who helped out. Now time for Jim and I to get together with the wideband A/F gauge to see where she is running. And see if I need bigger injectors and fuel chip remap.

I have a midget, I mean little person, with a fire suit I stick under the hood ;)
You dont know the pressure when you are driving. I will know my A/F ratios however which is really what I care about.
