Default got into a little accident this morning

Snow on top of ice is not a good combination and I rear ended a truck, passenger headlight to bumper, so basically I need a hood, fender, radiator, ac condenser, upper radiator support (i think that is what it is called), the vertical support for the latch, a headlight, airbox, I think that is it.

Wondering what parts off an audi 100 would work.

Default what year is your car?

front fenders are UrS specific, as are S4 headlamps.
Hood will work, and i'm guessing the latch as well, corner lamp will also work. Maybe the A/C condenser and upper radiator support. afaik, the radiator, airbox, and bumper are UrS specific.

Default Re: 93

after looking at some pictures of 100s, I see that the fender is specific. I know the headlight is also as well as airbox, hood is the biggest thing though

Default Audi 100 will get you a hood, rad support, ac. etc. but not fender. Beware: You are in write-off

territory.

Default Re: yeah, I know

i will get the car back and rebuild it though. I don't mind running around with different color panels till I can get it painted. I will try to show them that these cars are worth more than what the book says.

Default I did the same thing - I have some of those bits. But there's a problem.

Only it wasn't on ice. I did the same thing a couple of years ago, and bought bits. Still have Radiator support bits if you want. Got Hood off an Audi 100 and had it repainted.

The only trouble was that the hood has the emissions sticker which is for a V6 with EGR valve not an I5. They gave me hell over that when getting smogged.

Default If the insurance wants to total it...

Try to find out the dollar amount at which they want to total it out. Then on your own source used parts and you might be able to come under that dollar amount and save yourself from getting a Salvage title.

My parents had a 1986 Audi 5000s in 2000 or so with only 120k miles, some idiot hit my mom in the pass rear door. Most of the damage was confined to the door. With a new door the insurance company would have totaled out the car. With a used door it was not.

Default Re: thanks for the tip

I have already sourced some parts for it, just waiting on a claims adjuster to come out and look at it.
