Default Did '95.5 get an upgraded switch??

My 1995 S6 Avant had issue #1 (getting sticky and sometimes not return to start position).

I've got a replacement switch, but my ignition seems to be perfectly fine on my '95.5 with 150k miles on it. I haven't noticed any start problems, stickyness, or hard behaviour.

I was wondering if the '95.5-'97 cars got an upgraded switch from the factory, or will mine eventually go out like the rest of them?
