Default HELP- How do I get the lower Exhaust to Turbo nut off?

You know the one in the back lower corner next to the engine? I can't get anything in there to get at it. There has to be a trick or tool that I am not using.

Thanks in Advance

Default Get yourself a 15mm obstruction wrench (half moon) and heat it

Default A regular 15mm combo wrench will work too, but you will have

to bend it alot further.

Default I use a 15 mm box end but I cut it so that the wrench is only 1 inch long.

I put the box on the nut so that the stub points toward the block (horizontal). Stick bar down between the manifold and head and rest it on the stub. Use the bar and a hammer to push down on the stub of the wrench to turn the nut loose.

Default I don't like bending my tools so what I did

was from Sears I got a set of open ended wrench heads (? not sure what you call them) and they accept a 3/8" socket bar. Put the 15mm open end wrench head on the nut, use a 10" or so bar and a ratchet. You position this between the cylinder head and the exhaust pipes. Works like a champ.

Default Thank For All Of Your Responses...

I went to Sears and bought the obstruction wrench, heated it and bent it to the correct angle. Worked like a charm. I wasted so much on it that it isn't funny.

Thank to all
