Heres the deal....
I just got my car back and the guy said that I need to replace my ECU because it's sending 2 volts instead of 5 volts to my #5 cylinder. Is there anyway to fix this or should i get a "new" ecu. Does anyone have any used chipped ECU's they are selling?
Also the guy said "there is no vacuum pressure to the wastegate, and the car drives like it is NOT a turbo." Any reasons you guys could think of that would make this happen?
Thanks again for the help!

Re: POS maybe..
The shop said this in the report
"Check computer terminals for corrosion - terminals okay.
Run test on wiring from ECU to ignition module. Computer is not sending sufficient trigger for #5 cylinder. Sending 5 volts for all cylinders but #5 - only sending 1.5-2 volts."
It sounds like a bad ECU to me. But then again i'm not familiar with the POS.

Re: Heres the deal....
I had a p.o.s. go bad a couple of years ago, tell us what the car is doing---is it missing at idle and on throttle, then run fine for a few minutes??? There are 2 p.o.s. each with 3 channels but only 5 of the 6 channels are used--1 for each cylinder. Go to sjmautoteknic.com (sp?) and they have a ton of info on this and other very important stuff. As far as the vacum goes, have you checked the moisture trap hose near the firewall under the black plastic cover??? That sends vacum to the ecu and if it's off no boost. Do a search for moisture trap and there will be some photos of it. Check these things out before paying some shop to do dianostics on your car or replace your ecu.
Good luck and tell us what you find

I doubt it. I would try the ecu in another and vise versa before doing anything.
Where are they measuring voltage? Is this shop familiar with the AAN. The vacuum pressure comment makes me think they aren't. If you do decide to replace the ECU, sell me the old one for a project I am working on.
