the shop that checked my alignment told me one of my wheels was out of round and that might be the vibration im feeling, well im sick of it, and this weekend im going to put the spare in place of the wheel that is in question and see if the shaking is gone. so how much does a fuchs (good shape no scratches) run me?

Also, my friend god a used fender from a wrecked volvo for his car so im thinking, what if i get a used trunk lid? how much would that be instead of painting mine? then id have original paint on it..... and maybe it would be cheaper than getting it resprayed? thanks guys.

Don't run the spare unless you absolutely have to.

Most shops will lend you a spare wheel (a real one using your own tire) while they fix your original rim, just have to ask.

The price depends on if they use heat or hydraulic pressure. They guys that use heat charge less and it damages the paint finish. You have to pay extra if you want to have the wheel refinished.

The shop that uses hydraulic pressure does no damage to the rim at all, but it costs more than a replacement rim if you have cheap rims. They use a press and a round die to slowly form the wheel back into its original shape. It's really worth it if you have high end OEM or aftermarket wheels or your wheels are NLA.

i wasnt going to run the spare, just verify that my wheel is the vibration issue. but i will be taking it in this weekend and have it fixed (i hope) the vibration makes the car feel horrible.
