Default Hydraulic lifter info.

This is a close up that I took when I had my lifters out during my bent valve project last week.

This is some info I found on VAG lifters. Courtesy of KVquattro.com Not specific to our S-cars but the technology has not changed much...if any.

Default cool. I've noticed AAN's seem to have less tappet rattle on startup than MC's, even at high miles.

MC's and other older motors tend to rattle quite a bit on startup when they've had some miles, haven't noticed this on an AAN.

I suppose that could just be acoustic damping from the heavy coilpack & cast covers vs. stamped steel on MC's etc..?
