Actually, that's not a half-bad idea...
Fix the little stuff that's wrong, swap the parts onto your car, sell for $5.5k
That's a net of $4k, if you figure parts (and discount the chip.)

I can think of a million investments that are better but we're not doing this to make money right?
if so I am doing a terrible job!
I guess that any of us who ever have to make an insurance claim will feel the hit.
Unrelated, when do your classes break for the holidays? I'll be passing through Edmonton sometime around the 20th, maybe we can meet when it's a bit better for your schedule. And maybe I'll actually have some true work done on the old girl that you can inspect

$18k for an S8? Just awww that such a car could sell for so cheap
Crazy to see $3000 some odd dollar S4's for sale these days. I guarantee you'll never find another winter car of this caliber in that price range. Even sell the interior/AC/other parts and use it as a track car.

I said that two years ago....
These cars will eventually be so cheap, I'd be able to have an S4 for a ski beater.
But, these cars are getting old, and likewise, the prices will drop. These cars held thier value EXTREMELY well for a very long time. Now when you start talking about a 15 yr old car with close to 200k on it... and esp with a few issues (which they all have)... $3-4k is fair money IMHO.
A4 1.8T's with less miles trade for that much around here.
Anyways, I went to a little local Audi meetup this weekend. Everyone there either had a B5 A4 or a B5 S4. They are looking old now too. My car was the oldest one in the group, but I would rather drive my C4 chassis any day over a B5 S4!
Call me crazy. These cars are far more unique!

but you would still have a ripped off chip made by Pastore
If you look at the state the car is in by the description, there is no doubt in my mind why it has a pirated chip in it.

Maybe. The latest 'rumour' is that it is only for RHD cars, i.e. JDM ricers.
I hope its true. (Sorry Corey). I think there are too many RHD Japanese cars being imported into Canada and somebody at Transport Canada is freaking out, waiting for a RHD-induced accident to claim a life.
