Searched and searched and haven't found a definitive answer. Closest reference was motorgeek 5 years ago but the thread died off.

I have a bunch of these filters and no longer have a b5 a4 or crapbox project golf. Can I use these filters in my S6?

IF you use the Mann Filter look-up website, the correct filter for the AAN is a W 719/30. If you use the same website to cross reference the W719/5 for an Audi, you will find that it is for older Audis, the newest being a 1991 2.3L 7A coupe quattro.

So the answer as to whether it will work is "Yes". The answer as to whether it is the best Mann filter for the AAN, the answer is "No". Compromise would likely be use the 719/5 but replace it at every oil change (some of the Audi filters *say* they are good for 30K km or 2 years)
