My car now owns me...
I just got my strut top mounts replaced and an alignment. The S was feeling good around town so on a hunch I took it to a back road I used to frequent during my serious sports car days.
First off my car is stock.
I couldn't believe how effortlessly the car went through the corners, or how poised and balanced it was. So here I am dancing (and it was dancing) through a wet road maybe a couple mph slower than I used to charge down ***** out in my miata with suspension mods. And that was only because I was taking it easy.
Sure on the really tight stuff like switchbacks the chassis showed its weight but I am left at a loss to truly describe how good the car felt.
I had no idea anything existed that could be this comfortable, this heavy and yet kick this much ***. I also don't understand why some people say it understeers. With good weight shifting + keeping your foot in it + occasional left foot braking, it neutral steers like a pro. I am completely and utterly blown away.
I have driven hard core sports cars with 20K sunken into them that aren't this much fun. And to think I got this damned thing for $2,500. Its unreal....
Hah, weird post I know but I want you guys maybe to take a second look at your cars. I know what its like to own something long enough that you forget how special it is.

I am also amazed at how light the car feels for being nearly two tons.
Almost nimble.
it shows its mass when the snow falls, however. No quick stops on snow with a two-ton car.
