My friend got misfiring on3-4000RPM.
the S4 car got misfiring on 3-4000RPM.The idle is ok but quite obvious swing.
Sometimes the car run smoothly.and also the car is difficult to start when the engine is cold.
Today the mechanic have replaced the spark plugs.The symthom is still.
After the test the car won't start on the way.
The car need the slide on car to bring back to the garage.
What do you think about this issue?the car is manual Gearbox.
I'm going to tell the mechanic to replace the coil,POS. What is your Idea?

Try this:
With the engine running, disconnect the electrical plug from the MAF and I'm almost positive that you won't feel any difference on the idle. I suggest you borrow him your MAF for testing.
I (also) had a bad MAF and the misfiring was there between 3000/4000rpm - it went away with the MAF replacement. I've heard that if the hot wire inside is dirty it can also cause that sympthoms...

Actually,I didn't know him before.
He went to the parts shop that the owner is very close to me.He recommend that old man
that own S4 car to call me.I'm so pleased to help him because I really understand his feeling.He feel really lonely.Noone even the mechanic can't help him to handle his car.
May be i'm the youngest guy who drive the S-car in my country.lol
This car have been changed the Turbo.I'm sure that's not K24.It's a bit bigger than K24.
and also the muffler system.The ex-owner told him that it's 280HP right now wow!!!.his max boost is around 2.4-2.5 bar.That's much more than mine.
He got this by his customer has no money to pay for the debt.So he exchanged this car instead.
The wheel is BBS 18*8 with hankook tyre 235/40R18.May be i'm gonna take some pices for it.
Anyway,Today the mechanic have replaced the MAF
from another S-car.but the symthom is still.
I have made a call to my closed mechanic.
he also had a lot experiences for the S-car to
handle this car. any update I will post it.
For my 1.9 bar WG spring,I'm gonna order from 034motorsport.com.(If no any changes). I hope that it will change my car behavior soon.
