I just had an oil change on my 95 S6 as well as some bulbs replaced in the cluster (Speedometer). When I picked up the car noticed my OIL ICON is on once I hit 2000 RPM. I returned to the shop who does not find any cause. We took a cluster from a Coupe Quattro (Oil pressure gauge) and tied it into the S6 (No oil pressure gauge) and it read okay. The engine sounds find (No ticking). Is it possible to still have low oil pressure? He used top of the line Mann filter (German). I would not think the filter was bad. Any ideas? 1.5 bars at idle and 5 at rev. Should I spend the money and have a gauge put on the engine directly. They had to suck the oil out of the manifold (The bolt on the pan was too tight to get off). Could sucking the oil out of the manifold put air in the system or cause any issues?
