Default The burning is permanent on these chips. You would need to get the binary version...

edit it, recompile it and re-burn the PROM.

Default Someone mind explaining how these cars get fine tuned??

Never modified a car before... picked a rare breed for finding answers locally.

Default Usually it requires a bit of dyno time with A/F and EGT (if you can) logging.

You'd then forward the graphs to the person whom would code and burn you the chip.

You can also by chips that someone like Mihnea Cotet have pre-coded (based on the values of other cars with similar modifcations) that *should* well work with the setup on your car.

Default These cars cannot be "reflashed" like a newer 1.8t VW.They require a new chip set (two chips) and...

probably (in many cases) a 3.0 bar pressure transducer or equivalent (VMAP).

Fuel and boost maps against Air/Fuel ratio, preferbably while the car is on a dyno.
