shifter linkage alignment???

shifter linkage alignment???
So the source of the noise i hear in my car under acceleration turns out to be from the shift linkage. PO said after getting clutch done 65,000km ago noise could be heard in every gear, so he took it back to the shop and the guy adjusted the linkage, but the noise could still be heard in 5th??. When engaging 5th and reverse it doesnt feel right and when i move shifter around (when any gear is engaged, especially 5th) it makes rotating/grinding sounds but only when accelerating. Is my linkage bent? Would the 034 motorsports shift kit eliminate the noise (or any other kit for that matter), or should i just replace with OEM linkage (PO has linkage for sale for $200cdn)
Any help is much appreciated

I would think that if the noise was related to the linkage you would feel it in the shifter
Put you hand on the shifter when you hear the noise and see if you feel a vibration. If not, push the shifter hard foward in 5th. If you start to feel it when pushing then the noise is probably being generated in the drivetrain but not in the linkage.
Just my 2 cents.

Just got an email from Apikol Lead engineer
He said that its a common problem after clutch changes, sometimes the trans is allowed to "hang" on shift linkage or put considerable force on them. I think im gonna get one of there "short shifters", any feedback on this mod?
