It will certainly rub though the muffler in no time. Any suggestions? remove bracket, bend bracket, install different hanger???

OK:

The STROMUNG Generation #2, circa, 2001 ..
used a Magnaflow resonator and a Magnaflow muffler in the rear most section.

Is that what you have (Gen #2 ?)
or did I sell it to ya' and forget.

Reason is, the Gen #2 had a known interference at the bracket in your picture. The solution was to 'dent' the resonator with a ball peen hammer. Yep, whack it at that location.
I think Cody Payne has one of this vintage.

Gen 3 and 4 solved this interference in 2002(and with today's production) by incorporating a different geometry Magnaflow resonator.

Gen #2 is louder than Gen #3 and #4.. some people actually ask me for Gen 2 systems for that reason.

i just got this system from you in november. It was on backlog so I must have it installed wrong or stromung found an old model lying around. It also has some other touch points with the heat sheild. I'm not really sure what a "drone" is suppose to sound like, so I can't tell you by the sound if it is a Gen2 or Gen4. Sounds pretty good to me.

Figures I would stuff my foot in mouth an not recall you purchased from me! Duh Jeff..

First: guaranteed, nOV 06 PRODUCTION is brand new Gen 4 material. Period.

Second: Let's talk live and sort it out. I learned some tricks about fitment that you can benefit from. Will email you now from Comcast, although want to call tomorrow.

You'll be happy to be reassured DRONE is highly annoying, which is why Stromung doesn't make it anymore!
