Default MAPP torch to heat up nut and melt the loctite and ball joint tool to pop it

Or if no tool, a BFH.

Default I'm a fan of the heat + BFH method

Propane will work too, but it will take a little longer to get heat into the spindle than a MAPP torch.

Default L or R?

haha, just kidding.

They are a pretty simple R&R. Break the adjustment nut loose first before you try to get the rod end out of the spindle. Soaking with PB Blaster or any other penetrating lubricant ahead of time helps.
