Black Sunshine

I am having a problem getting the mirror to turn on using switched power.

I found a switched power source under the dash (actually found several and using one for the V1 which works) and verified that I'm getting 11.8v-12.0v from the wire I spliced in. I have verified that the mirror works with my added ground and an un-switched power source from the sunroof panel.

However, when I connect the switched power to the mirror it doesn't turn on. In fact if I connect the mirror to the switched source I can't register any voltage at the mirror. I've tried the other switched source I know works for the V1 and still nothing.

Any thoughts?
